Global Energy City

Our electricity is provided by our town which is purchased in bulk from a local major electricity producer.  Unlike many in PA we cannot chose our electric producer.  Which does lock us in.  HOWEVER the municipality is responsive during power outages but has just raised our rates 10%.  They don’t really have exclusive staff for meter readings and the like and additional services (such as UPS, power audits) can only be provided by outside electricians. So while we may not be in the dark a lot we pay through the nose and just get a bunch of power wired up to our house.
